SENIOR ELITE  is one of the oldest teams of our competitive program, welcoming dancers aged 13 and over (entering grade 8).  Dancers in the Senior Elite program are committed to an intensive program of study.  They have achieved a high level of technical and performance skill in all dance styles.  They learn and retain complex choreography quickly, and are independent and self-motivated learners.  

 

Dancers are promoted from our Teen program at the discretion of the studio.  The Senior Elite program may not be offered to all students regardless of age, and registered classes. 

 

Our Senior Elite  dancers represent Studio C at competition with tap, jazz, and lyrical group routines.  They also participate in our production number, and senior collaboration number. 

Senior Elite dancers also compete solos and duets/trios.

 

Senior Elite dancers train using the CDTA syllabus at the senior level and will complete major exams beginning with grade 4, and having the option to proceed through Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced in both Jazz and Tap.

 

Senior Elite dancers also train in Ballet and Acro, having already achieved a minimum standard of Intermediate Ballet 4, and Junior 3 Acro prior to being selected for this program.  Senior Elites do not compete Ballet or Acro routines, but they are performed in our end of year recital.
